Prior to that, he worked on the Republican caucus staff in the Iowa House, staffing the House Commerce and Economic Development Committees. Justin received his law degree with honors from Drake University Law School and graduated from Grinnell College in Iowa. Madison Grady is a Government Affairs professional with a proven record of navigating complex legislative and regulatory environments at both the state and federal levels. She joined PolicyWorks in October 2023, where she advises clients on advocacy strategy, public policy, and regulatory issues, with a focus on financial services, technology, and business regulation. Madison helps organizations effectively engage with policymakers, grassroots advocates, and political action fundraising to advance their priorities and protect their interests.

Prior to joining PolicyWorks, Madison led the government affairs program for the Montana Association of REALTORS, overseeing state and federal advocacy efforts, developing policy positions, and managing the association's political action committee fundraising.

Her earlier career includes serving as Special Assistant to the Governor of Idaho and working in media relations at the Cato Institute, where she gained valuable experience in public affairs, communications, and executive operations.

Madison earned her Master of Public Policy, magna cum laude, from George Washington University, with a concentration in regulatory policy. She was honored as one of two recipients of the Trachtenberg Scholarship, awarded for academic excellence and dedication to public service. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Boise State University.

Helped Polk County Medical Society pass a restriction on medical malpractice lawsuits. Assisted in passing several bills for the Iowa Professional Fire Fighters, including coverage for PTSD and expanding the cancer definition. Was part of the team that passed a bill authorizing fantasy sports and sports wagering in Iowa. Helped prevent a tax increase on credit unions.

I have built strong relationships with the leadership of both chambers as well as key committee chairs including Ways and Means, State Government, and Commerce.

Graduated from Buena Vista University with a BA degree. Began career as a district staffer for Congressman Fred Grandy. Worked on the presidential campaign of Governor Lamar Alexander.

Worked for the House Republican Staff for nearly 20 years, then spent 2.5 years in the Branstad Administration. Began multi-client lobbying in 2015. Have one daughter, a recent Iowa State University graduate.

Interceded on behalf of a client with a state agency to resolve compliance matters, working directly with the agency commissioner. In the next budget, successfully appealed the agency's insufficient 5% proposed daily rate increase for the provided services, which resulted in an increase of 37%.

Blocked a state agency's efforts to prevent a client's association members from continuing to conduct business in New Hampshire.

Opened up new opportunities for a renewable energy client by shepherding a bill we created for them through the legislative process to the governor's desk for signature.

As Senate president, I guided policy discussions and negotiations on all major policy issues, including renewable energy, insurance, business regulation and retirement system reform.

Led Senate efforts on budgets for four fiscal years, one of which erased a projected $800 million budget deficit without raising taxes or fees.
