From his high-level work with government officials and major U.S. corporations to his deep roots on the business side of professional sports, Peter Baptista brings a wealth of varied experience to PB Strategic Consulting. Peter has worked with corporate, political, and non-profit clients across a wide variety of industries.

Prior to forming PB Strategic Consulting, Peter was the State and Local Government Account Executive for SAS, the largest privately held US software company. As a member of the SAS state & local government team, Peter managed key relationships with public officials and drove business development opportunities in the Northeast.

Peter has worked with candidates and elected officials at all levels of government. From national presidential campaigns to serving as the Coordinated Campaign Director for the Rhode Island Democratic Party when they elected a Democratic governor for the first time in 22 years, Peter is an expert at the "how to" of running a successful campaign and managing the reputation of his candidates. As a Partner with the Hamilton Group, Peter put his skills to work for candidates up and down the ballot, including House and Senate leadership, and provided consulting services in fundraising, media relations, debate preparation, opposition research, and field strategy. A particularly skilled fundraiser, Peter served as now-Governor Gina M. Raimondo's fundraiser as she laid the foundation for her first run for the corner office in 2011.

During the last 15 years Peter's business skills (and hockey skates) have remained sharp with his ongoing work to develop the next generation of elite hockey players. In addition to serving as an agent and family advisor for numerous professional hockey players, Peter worked with Legacy Global Sports as a coach for elite youth teams in tournaments around the world.

Peter lives in Cranston, Rhode Island.
