Former Staff State Senator Sue Crawford
Working as a Policy Coordinator for Voices for Children, she specialized in healthcare and nutrition issues facing Nebraska's children. Her experience with grasstops advocacy includes building a coalition of providers and advocacy groups to defend Medicaid funding. In addition, Kaitlin also spent four years working for State Senator Sue Crawford where she worked closely on a variety of issues facing the Health and Human Services Committee; including the passage of independent practice for nurse practitioners and a pilot study authorizing UNMC to participate in clinical trials of Epidiolex, which received FDA approval in June.Kaitlin actively looks for opportunities to give back to her community whether that is serving as the Public Policy Committee Chair for the Nebraska Alliance of Child Advocacy Centers or as an active member of St. Martha's Episcopal Church in Papillion. She is also the New Member Recruitment Chair for the Young Leadership Committee of JDRF Omaha-Council Bluffs Chapter and a board member of MilkWorks.
