Ms. Kato previously served as a lobbyist for a Tallahassee based firm that specializes in legislative, agency and local government representation. She also previously served Southern State Policy Advocate for the Human Rights Watch, and attorney for the Florida Senate.

Ms. Kato is active in her community, serving as Board Member of Whole Child Leon, the State Public Affairs Committee Chair for the Junior League of Tallahassee, and as Social Chair for the Public Affairs Institute, a national organization comprised of senior-level public affairs professionals.
