Marcus
Dunn advises clients on public policy matters, involving—among
others areas—defense, homeland security and education policy.
With more than 16 years experience in the realm of state and
federal government— seven of which were spent on Capitol Hill—
Mr. Dunn helps clients approach and navigate complex legislative
matters. His knowledge of the legislative process is enhanced by
his ability to find an equitable solution and effectively
provide complete answers for specific legislative inquiries.
During his tenure on Capitol Hill, Mr. Dunn has advocated
successfully on behalf of his Members by assisting with several
bills becoming law, multiple amendments and millions of dollars
appropriated for specific Congressional district needs.
Mr. Dunn was most recently a Senior Public Policy Specialist
with Patton Boggs, LLP. He has served as legislative director
and military legislative assistant to Representative Jeff Miller
(R-FL). Additionally, Mr. Dunn was a military legislative
assistant to Representative Joel Hefley (R-CO). He began his
federal legislative work as a legislative assistant to
Representative Bob Schaffer (R-CO).
Prior to his work in Washington DC, Mr. Dunn served as the
communications director for the Colorado State Senate, and for
six years he was enlisted with the Army National Guard, earning
his basic parachutist badge while with the 5/19 Special Forces,
support company.
Marcus is an active member of his community. He is the
current past president of the neighborhood civic association.
He is also active in Community Theater, and volunteers his time
for neighborhood watch, various youth sports programs and local
political campaigns.
