Turner Named Honorary Chairman of President's
Business Advisory Committee

Caren Turner, President of Turner Government & Public Affairs to be Honorary Chairman of Committee to the National Republican Congressional Committee

Washington, D.C., June 16, 2005 – Caren Turner, President of Turner Government & Public Affairs (Turner GPA), has been named the Honorary Chairman of the President's Business Advisory Committee to the National Republican Congressional Committee, (NRCC). NRCC is a political committee devoted to electing Republicans to the U.S. House of Representatives. It supports the election of Republicans to the House through direct financial contributions to candidates and Party organizations; technical assistance and research to candidates and Party organizations; voter registration, education, and turnout programs; and other Party-building activities.

“I am honored to have been asked to serve as Honorary Chairman of such a highly respected committee within this great organization,” said Turner. “I promise to serve actively and passionately, to the best of my abilities.”

Caren Z. Turner is the founder, President, and Chief Executive Officer of Turner GPA. With nearly 20 years of federal government-relations experience, she has successfully lobbied the U.S. Congress and other federal agencies on the behalf of numerous concerns from Fortune 500 companies to privately held corporations and national trade associations. Through her work with these clients, Ms. Turner has developed valuable expertise in legislative monitoring, advocacy, and public relations. Ms. Turner worked for Senator William Proxmire (D-WI) on the Senate Banking Committee, and served as an intern for Senator Edward Kennedy (D-MA). She has co-administrated three Political Action Committees, (PAC) and briefly served on the steering committees of Senator Bill Bradley (D-NJ) and Rep. Pete Stark (D-CA).  Ms. Turner holds a law degree from Georgetown University Law Center where she was an editor of one of the law reviews.
