Turner Named Honorary Chairman of President's
Business Advisory Committee

to be Honorary Chairman of Committee to the National Republican
Congressional Committee
Washington, D.C., June 16,
2005 – Caren Turner, President of Turner Government & Public
Affairs (Turner GPA), has been named the Honorary Chairman of
the President's Business Advisory Committee to the National
Republican Congressional Committee, (NRCC). NRCC is a political
committee devoted to electing Republicans to the U.S. House of
Representatives. It supports the election of Republicans to the
House through direct financial contributions to candidates and
Party organizations; technical assistance and research to
candidates and Party organizations; voter registration,
education, and turnout programs; and other Party-building
activities.
“I am honored to have been
asked to serve as Honorary Chairman of such a highly respected
committee within this great organization,” said Turner. “I
promise to serve actively and passionately, to the best of my
abilities.”
Caren Z. Turner is the
founder, President, and Chief Executive Officer of Turner GPA.
With nearly 20 years of federal government-relations experience,
she has successfully lobbied the U.S. Congress and other federal
agencies on the behalf of numerous concerns from Fortune 500
companies to privately held corporations and national trade
associations. Through her work with these clients, Ms. Turner
has developed valuable expertise in legislative monitoring,
advocacy, and public relations. Ms. Turner worked for Senator
William Proxmire (D-WI) on the Senate Banking Committee, and
served as an intern for Senator Edward Kennedy (D-MA). She has
co-administrated three Political Action Committees, (PAC) and
briefly served on the steering committees of Senator Bill
Bradley (D-NJ) and Rep. Pete Stark (D-CA). Ms. Turner holds a
law degree from Georgetown University Law Center where she was
an editor of one of the law reviews.
